While we are in Kitwe, Zambia, serving with the Centre for Christian Missions (CCM: www.ccmzambia.org), we will each have a unique ministry assignment. CCM operates the Trust School, the tuition for which funds the CCM Bible College and Seminary. This ministry sends out biblically equipped young Africans to become pastors and missionaries in remote parts of Africa. My own assignment will be to teach three courses in the Bible College: Marriage & Family, Romans and 1 Corinthians. In addition, I will help pastor a local church, Agape Baptist. I am praying that through the Bible College and local church God will give me a few men to pour myself into.
While I help with the seminary and church, Shelley will homeschool Mary-Frances and Virginia part of each day. During the balance of the day, the two girls will serve in a few of the nearby orphanages. David, Ella and Sadie Grace will attend the elementary school at CCM, and Lydia will teach elementary school for the duration of our stay. One of the Trust School’s greatest needs is Physical Education, so Lydia will be bringing an entire P.E. curriculum and program to teach there. What an opportunity for her!
